Digital Project Manager (6 Month Contract)

Nottingham or remote (UK based)

About this role

We are looking for a Digital Project Manager to join our team, as a 6 month maternity cover contract, with the option to go permanent.

Working collaboratively with our Account Managers, eCommerce Solutions Specialists, Design and Development Teams, you’ll share ideas and expertise to create and deliver high quality, profitable digital solutions for our clients, providing an exceptional service.

Your focus will be on implementation: delivering profitable projects on time and to an exceptional standard for our clients.

Your day-to-day work might look like the following…

  • Plan all projects

    • Assist in defining project scopes and budget allocation

    • Develop and maintain key project documentation such as Gantt charts, change request forms, and risk logs

    • Setup and allocate project tasks with clear briefs on the expected deliverables

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports (both internal and external) including project status reports, budget reports and financial summaries

  • Communicate project status updates around milestones and tasks to clients weekly

  • Define the project team (internally and externally) including their roles and responsibilities

  • Schedule and direct the team throughout the entire project lifecycle

  • Foresee and solve problems around delivery issues

  • Ensure all project documentation is signed and project stages or jobs are formally signed off

  • Monitor and manage the performance of developers and review timelogs weekly

  • Focus on project profitability and efficient utilisation rates for the internal team

  • Plan and manage resource bookings as part of a weekly resource meeting

  • Advise the leadership team on positive/negative resourcing requirements

  • Regular communication with the business development team as to resource availability, gaps and potential new project commencement dates

  • Continually drive improvements and efficiencies in project processes and documentation

  • Has 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably working within a digital agency environment

  • Is super-duper organised and motivated by deadlines

  • Strives (and plans) for success and is driven to achieve it
  • Is really really hot on comms!

  • Has the confidence to rally and motivate their team around them

  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail

  • Wants to inspire and motivate clients – and give them the confidence to achieve greatness with us

Working flexibly & remotely at JH

We’ve been working remote-first for many months now and have several initiatives that support the continuation of positive communication, culture, and wellbeing. Our Nottingham office is opened in line with government guidelines, with safety measures in place for people that wish to use it. We’ve transitioned well because we’ve worked from home and employed remote staff for a number of years. We already had the processes, technology, and mindsets that are helpful.

For this role, we are open to hiring someone based in the UK who would work remotely. As restrictions ease, we expect there to be occasions where a face-to-face meeting with the team or a client are necessary; these would be facilitated with safety as a priority.
