Introducing Hannah, Our New Marketing Assistant

Our newest recruit, Hannah, shares a little about what drew her to JH and the role of Marketing Assistant.

What appealed to you about the role of Marketing Assistant?

With experience working as a B2C marketer in both the eCommerce and events industry, the task of creating engaging content, successful campaigns and solid marketing strategies has always been something that excites and intrigues me.

I saw the role of Marketing Assistant at JH as an exciting challenge, and although B2B marketing felt a little out of my comfort zone, the role offered an amazing opportunity to really immerse myself in the JH agency brand and take on new and exciting challenges.

On top of all this, I was already well aware of the great work that JH do in the local community. I knew that working for such an industry-leading and forward-thinking agency was certain to propel me further in my career, and open up the door to so many interesting opportunities.

Why JH?

Finding a career that matches your job expectations, ambitions and personal life can often be a tricky one. For me, I wanted to work for a company that was innovative and aspirational, where employees were encouraged to be passionate about their work and where personal development and work culture were central to their beliefs.

Is the eCommerce industry of particular interest to you?

Definitely! I love how fast-paced and ever-changing the eCommerce industry is, and the fact that we all have a part to play in it, whether that be consumer, seller, agency, marketer – whatever the role. ECommerce businesses are a fundamental part of our life now and it’s always exciting to see where we are going next and with what new technology.

What eCommerce site do you use the most and why?

The eCommerce website that I tend to use the most has to be ASOS. Not only do they offer a wide variety of products from differing merchants and brands, the site itself offers top usability and navigational features, a clean and coherent product page design, an efficient checkout process and great functionality across all devices.

As an online shopper, one of my top priorities is to find my desired products as easily and as quickly as possible – ASOS allows me to do so by way of their narrow filters, accurate search tool and large variety of product categories. Other features such as the #AsSeenOnMe feed, catwalk videos, ‘shop the look’ and accurate personalisation products, all greatly improve the customer-experience and make the ASOS eCommerce website stand out as one of the most user-friendly websites out there.

What are you looking forward to most?

Since starting at JH, I’ve already been given a great reading list and selection of training options and courses to choose from. I am so excited to put these recommendations, as well as a generous company-wide budget for training, to good use,  in order to expand my skills and knowledge in the industry. Most of all, I’m looking forward to growing with JH – this is such a fast-paced company, with an abundance of ideas, and a great future ahead – I’m thrilled to play a part in it.
