JH are finalists for Online Business of the year awards

JH were recently shortlisted as finalists for the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce Best Business Awards. Held at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel this prestigious black-tie event saw companies from all over Nottinghamshire converge for a fun evening celebrating the best of the regions business success stories.

The evenings proceedings were attended by Jamie, Kyle, Vicky and yours truly from JH and hosted by GEM 106 Radio celebs Andy Miller and Jennie Longdon. The whole affair had a red carpet feel about it and the venue, service and food were excellent, it was certainly well attended.

Midway through the proceedings things were mixed up a bit when the waiters suddenly seemed to lose the plot. In reality it was ‘The Crashing Waiters’, a group of entertainers from Creative Team Events who were secreted amongst the catering team and used drumming with everyday kitchen utensils to great effect.

Before we knew it the whole room was armed with wooden spoons, spatulas, tupperware pots, steel trays, colanders (you get the idea) and everyone was soon involved in creating rousing percussion beats across the room.

It’s fair to say that the mixture of drink and good cheer brought out the primal urges in some – Kyle managed to smash his plastic bowl into fragments with his enthusiastic musical skills.

Sadly on this occasion we didn’t win our category, but we were very happy to be nominated. We had a great evening of entertainment, met some lovely people and did go home with a stylish finalists award to add to our growing trophy cabinet. All in all a great night out.

Just wait till next year!
