CRO Specialist
Are you an expert in all things CRO? JH is looking for someone to take ownership of the research, data, and optimisation capabilities that are a key part of our consulting services.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be running a self-sufficient CRO function within the Strategy team at JH. Alongside our other consultants, you’ll utilise in-depth knowledge of ecommerce to shape effective roadmaps and projects that significantly advance our clients’ goals. You’ll also enhance our new business efforts by providing expert thought leadership and essential pre-sales input to highlight our strategic value to clients.
Gather insights
- Conduct reviews and research using quant and qual methods
- Configure tracking and reporting to provide insights and recommendations
- Manage experimentation programmes (both strategy and execution)
- Collaborate with design and development on tests and builds
Lead solutions
- Report the results and lessons from experiments and launches
- Monitor site performance to make proactive suggestions and interventions
- Lead client comms to discuss concerns, findings, strategies, etc.
- Build roadmaps and backlogs of improvements and hypotheses to action
Grow the service
- Improve the offering and practice of all the above activities
- Follow industry trends, practice, etc. to discover further innovations
- Promote CRO services through various marketing activities
- Sell in research and experimentation to existing clients and new business
What we’re looking for
This role requires someone who can fulfil the majority of the criteria below, but we don’t expect you to match everything — it’s as important that you have a passion for self development to grow into the role.
Key capabilities
- Several years of experience in a similar mid/senior role, demonstrated by positive outcomes in multiple CRO case studies — especially for ecommerce sites
- Knowledge of diverse CRO tactics including UX, merchandising, promotions, and content
- Capable of plotting strategic roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Experience of planning and conducting research and experiments
- Skilled in analysing data and presenting statistical findings
- Confidence leading conversation and collaboration with different stakeholders
- Familiarity with CRO tools such as Convert.com (or similar), GA4, GTM, Looker/Data Studio, Hotjar, Contentsquare
- Interested in writing or speaking publicly to share your work and expertise
Nice to haves
- Skills in UX or UI design (we use Figma) and front-end coding (HTML, CSS, JS)
- Experience of writing epics, user stories, and success criteria
- Relevant certifications e.g. GAIQ, CXL
Remote working
We’re looking for a UK-based individual to work mostly remotely, with occasional in-person visits for client meetings. Success in this role requires resilience and initiative, familiarity with remote communication tools like Slack and Zoom, and a suitable space to work productively in.
